Ethical hacking also known as intrusion testing, penetration testing or red teaming is the process of hacking the information that is considered to be confidential.
This work is ethical because it is performed to increase the safety of the computer systems, but only at the request of the company that owns the system and specifically to prevent others from attacking it. With the increasing use of the internet, it has become an essential part of IT security industry today.

An Ethical Hacker is an computer and network expert hired by a company to attempt to attack their network and computer system the. Ethical Hackers use the same techniques and tactics as those used by illegal hackers to break corporate security systems.

Unauthorized hacking (i.e., gaining access to computer systems without prior authorization from the owner) is a crime in most countries, but penetration testing done by request of the owner of the targeted system(s) or network(s) is not.
